The US has announced it will provide a system to work around internet blocks as they are used by for example China's censors. But prominent internet users like Danwei's Jeremy Goldkorn do not think a new US work-around will add much to the many systems that are already around, he told the China Daily, even though his own website had been blocked for a few months now.Lots of people know how to use proxies to get around Internet blocks, said Jeremy Goldkorn, founder of the Chinese media monitoring website Danwei.org, which was blocked since July this year.
"It doesn't make any difference to me if the US government has a new one. Of interest to me would be for the Chinese government not to block (my website)."
